With Pakistan trailing 1-0 in the three-match series, Rauf produced a fiery spell in Adelaide, finishing with figures of 5/29. His lethal bowling effort restricted Australia to just 163 runs, setting up Pakistan’s dominant victory.

In response to Rauf’s performance, young opener Saim Ayub played a pivotal role with 82 off 71 deliveries (strike rate of 115.49), while Abdullah Shafique contributed an unbeaten 64.
