AU Small Finance Bank is set to revise key features of its Ixigo AU credit card, with changes affecting reward points and spend categories. These updates, effective from December 22, 2024, aim to streamline the card’s benefits and align with evolving customer needs. Key changes to the Ixigo AU Credit Card Discontinuation of reward points on specific categories Effective December 22, cardholders will no longer earn reward points on transactions related to education, government services, rent, and Bharat Bill Payment System (BBPS).

Changes to international spend rewards In line with the introduction of a 0% forex markup on international transactions (effective December 23), AU Small Finance Bank will discontinue reward points on overseas spending to facilitate the new fee structure. Revised reward points for telecom, utility, and insurance spends The Ixigo AU credit card will continue to offer 1 reward point per ₹100 on telecom, utility, and insurance transactions. However, for insurance spends, there will be a cap of 100 reward points per transaction.



For instance, a ₹5,000 utility or telecom spend will earn 50 reward points, while a ₹10,000 insurance spend will be capped at 100 reward points per transaction. Additional bank changes Other banks, including Axis Bank and Bank of Baroda, are also making adjustments to their credit card features. Bank of Baroda, for example, will introduce spend-based limits for complimentary airport lounge access from January 1, 2025.
