Many Bollywood actresses made their mark in the Hindi film industry after winning prestigious beauty pageants. Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Sushmita Sen, Priyanka Chopra and Lara Dutta created a special place in the hearts of the audiences with their performances in films. We are talking about an actress who made a debut with Rs 220 crore disaster film and has not given a single hit.

Manushi Chhillar transitioned into Bollywood after winning Miss World in 2017. She created history in November 2017 by becoming the sixth Indian woman to win the Miss World title. She made her Bollywood debut in the 2022 historical drama Samrat Prithviraj which also starred Akshay Kumar.



Manushi was later seen in The Great Indian Family which also became a flop. The film starred Vicky Kaushal and earned Rs 5 crore domestically. The film was made on a budget of Rs 40 crore.

Manushi had two other releases in 2024, but both films failed to perform well at the box office. Manushi even made her Telugu debut with Varun Tej in the action thriller Operation Valentine. Shakti Pratap Singh Hada directorial earned Rs 8 crore in India.

She was also seen in Ali Abbas Zafar’s Bade Miyan Chote Miyan which was made on a budget of Rs 350 crore, but earned only Rs 51 crore. The film starred Akshay Kumar, Tiger Shroff, Sonakshi Sinha, and Alaya F. On the work front, Manushi is all set to star in the highly anticipated thriller Tehran which will also star John Abraham.

The film will be directed by debutant Arun Gopalan and bankrolled by Dinesh Vijan. The film is based on true events of the Russia-Ukraine war..
