Thieves strike at house twice in single day

Ludhiana: A gang that drugged an elderly couple in Mandi Mullanpur and stole valuables from their house on Saturday evening came back for anothe strike the same night while the couple was taken to their son-in-law's home in Ludhiana. Inderpal Singh, a retired manager, said a man had visited him on Sept 13, offering to clean the house. After a brief interaction with him the next day, the couple lost consciousness and several gold ornaments and bank cards were stolen.
