Dorset Police’s rural crime team arrested two people after an investigation was sparked over horse tack being targeted in the county. Officers stopped a vehicle in Bournemouth on April 1 and arrested two people for burglary, theft and attempted theft. One of the occupants was also arrested for failing to appear at court.
The rural crime team, along with Bournemouth North neighbourhood policing officers, conducted post arrest searches and seized the vehicle which was suspected to be used in the offences. The stolen horse tack from the burglaries and theft was found and will be returned to their rightful owners. It was said the items were stolen across Dorset over the weekend of March 22 and March 23.
Both arrested individuals were interviewed and bailed while enquiries continue..
