Read More Anjali Anand got widespread recognition for her performance in the 2023 romantic drama film Rocky aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani . Helmed by Karan Johar, in the film, the actress portrayed the role of Gayathri aka Golu, Ranveer Singh’s sister. Recently, during an interview, Anjali shared her experience and what learnings she received from her co-stars Ranveer, Alia Bhatt and director Karan during the making of the film.
Talking to the popular paparazzo Varinder Chawla, Anjali said, “Ranveer told me a very nice thing. He told me ‘Har hero ka picture mein ek golden scene hota hai. Tera is picture mein do hai, ek golden, ek platinum.
Jo bohot kam hota hai’ (Every actor has a golden scene in a film. You’ve got two; a golden and a platinum one. That’s very rare).
" She continued, “I think from Ranveer, Alia and Karan sir, where they are and why they are, that’s because they work really hard. That’s what I have picked from them. There’s nothing possible without hard work.
They work day in and day out without stopping. No matter what your perception is about them doesn’t matter, they are at it 24/7. All three of them.
" Apart from them, the film also featured veteran stars like Dharmendra, Jaya Bachchan and Shabana Azmi in titular roles. Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani follows the story of Rocky (played by Ranveer), a wealthy Punjabi guy from Delhi, and Rani (played by Alia), an educated Bengali girl from two distinct households. The film addresses the issues of cultural variations and values among families.
Coming back to Anjali, she began her acting career with TV and appeared in serials like Kulfi Kumarr Baajewala, Dhai Kilo Prem and Untag. She was last seen in the web series Dabba Cartel, which premiered on the OTT giant Netflix. The show also featured celebs like Shabana Azmi, Shalini Pandey, Jyothika and Sunil Grover in the lead roles.
