Former Indian spinner Murali Kartik believes after their loss to Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), Chennai Super Kings (CSK) have reached their all-time lowest point. As the team has five loss in six games, CSK is currently at ninth position in the IPL points table, and their flop show has attracted lot of criticism from fans and experts.Following the humiliating loss to KKR, Kartik called out CSK to ‘collectively dig in’ and try to recover from what they have made into a shaky start of their campaign.

“You can only come upwards from here. You cannot go any lower. It feels like they have reached pataal lok (hell).

The way this season has gone, you think that this is now my team and what I can do with it. The more you can collectively dig deep from here, the more you can reverse the situation like RCB did last year. They said that let us have a deep look at ourselves and they won six matches on the bounce.

I think there is still hope and till you have thrown in the towel, there is still hope,” he said on Cricbuzz.Coming to the match, KKR had won the toss and decided to bowl first and fully made use of the pitch at Chepauk. They had wrapped up CSK for 103/9 in their given 20 overs.

There were only two batters in the whole lineup who managed to score more than 20 runs, namely Vijay Shankar (29) and Shivam Dube (31).Sunil Narine stole the show with his bowling, as he took 3 wickets while giving out just 13 runs in his given four overs. Harshit Rana and Varun Chakravarthy did their fair share of work, as they both took 2 wickets for the team.

KKR came in to chase, and completed their target in just 10.1 overs with 8 wickets to spare. This was an easy win for the team.

Sunil Narine was the top scorer for the team, as he scored a quick 44 off 17 balls. For his extraordinary bowling and quick-fire batting, Narine was even given the Player of the Match award. The post ‘They have reached Pataal lok’: Former Indian star does not hold back in criticising CSK after Embarrassing loss to KKR in IPL 2025 appeared first on Cricket Country.
