The softball season is off to a smashing start, thanks to these talented athletes. From the circle to the plate, these players had the most impressive performances of the season through Friday, April 4.Check them out here, and vote for softball's top performer in our poll, beginning Wednesday.
Top Performances from Freshmen:Georgia Mackin, Archbishop WoodThe freshman was 2-for-3 with two RBIs and two runs scored in a win against Villa Joseph Marie, and against Gwynedd Mercy, she doubled and drove in two runs in the victory.Remi Rogers, BristolComing off the bench, Rogers has three hits in four at-bats, with four RBIs and four runs scored. Mia Kiskurno, CR NorthIn her first start in the circle, against state champion North Penn, Kiskurno pitched a six-hit, two-walk complete game to earn the 7-1 win, with only an unearned run.
Facing state finalist CR South, Kiskurno gave up 11 hits and one earned run, striking out 8 in seven innings to earn the 4-2 win. And against Pennsbury, she threw a four-hit, complete game shutout, striking out five while driving in two runs. Taelyn Landis, Dock MennoniteThe shortstop excelled in the field and at the plate for the Pioneers.
She came up with a double play against LC to preserve a shutout, and in her last four games she is 7-for-12 with three RBIs, five runs scored and a triple. Alison Bodick, CR NorthSplitting time between third base and the outfield, Bodick has provided a pop of power in the Indians’ lineup, hitting a home run in two straight games. She also has nine RBIs on the season.
Top Performances at the Plate:Avery Kenworthy, Conwell-EganShe was 2-for-4 with a triple and a double, driving in 4 runs in the Eagles’ win over Little Flower. Against Lansdale Catholic, the leadoff hitter had 3 hits, scored 3 runs and drove in a pair in the PCL win. Kayla Ripper, CR NorthThe junior is hitting .
621 with 12 RBIs and three triples in nine games. She has five games with three or more hits, including a 5-for-6 outing against Conestoga. Rhiley Poniktera, PalisadesThe senior had three hits, stole five bases and scored two runs in the Pirates win over Jim Thorpe.
She has 11 stolen bases through her first five games.Allison Siegfried, Archbishop WoodIn a win against Gwynedd Mercy, Siegfried was 3-for-4 with three runs scored and two RBIs. Amirah Bell, BristolThe junior has been an impossible out for opposing pitchers, batting .
882 with 14 RBIs and 13 runs scored in five games for the unbeaten Warriors. Grace Boyle, BristolBoyle was 4-for-4 with two triples and a double, driving in four runs and scoring three times in a win against Collegium Charter. For the season, she is batting .
786 with 10 RBIs in five games.Zoey Clark, Germantown AcademyClark led off the eighth inning of a tie game against Lawrenceville School with a triple, then put her speed to use in scoring the winning run on a pop fly. In three games, the junior is 7-for-9 at the plate with four RBIs, two triples, two doubles and seven runs scored.
Lydia Ehst, Dock MennoniteEhst cracked a grand slam against Gwynedd Mercy, helping the Pioneers to an 11-10 victory. Ella Wheeler, CB SouthThe senior has three home runs and 12 RBIs in seven games for the Titans, and is hitting .650.
Madison Karpovich, Hatboro-HorshamShe was 2-for-4 with 4 RBIs in a win against Mount St. Joseph’s, and 3-for-4 with 2 RBIs in her next game vs. Abington.
For the season, the Hatters’ catcher leads the team with 10 RBIs and 2 home runs. Leah Schwalm, QuakertownThe senior had three hits, including her 100th career hit against Wissahickon. The Panthers’ catcher also drove in five runs in the win.
Jazz Manning, Germantown AcademyThe senior had four hits, including an inside-the-park home run, and drove in four runs in the Patriots win against George School. In a victory against Lawrenceville, she was 3-for-4 with an RBI double. Maya Ravi, Hatboro-HorshamThe sophomore had two hits and drove in three runs in a 9-6 win over Gwynedd Mercy.
She leads the Hatters with a .480 batting average. Ana Glemser, CB WestGlemser had three hits, including a home run, drove in 3 runs and scored four runs in a win against Wissahickon.
Sierra Klein, CR NorthThe team’s solo senior hit a two-strike, two-RBI triple in the first inning that helped the Indians secure a 4-2 win against CR South, their first against their rival since 2021.Mia Lucke, Abington Lucke was 2-for-2 with two home runs and four RBIs in a 7-6 win against Bensalem. She also scored the game-tying run in the seventh, after drawing a walk to leadoff the inning.
Skyler Barnes, SoudertonWhether in the circle or at the plate, Barnes has been getting it done for Souderton. In a win against CB East, she was 3-for-4 with a home run, a double and two RBIs, and against Phoenixville, Barnes was 3-for-3 with a home run and three RBIs. In a win over Pennridge, Barnes pitched seven innings, giving up three hits and two runs while striking out 10.
Dagny Mobley, New Hope-SoleburyThe sophomore is 10-for-13 with 10 RBIs in her last four games.Softball: Who are Bucks County's top infielders and catchers in high school softball for 2025?These players had game-winning plays:Julia Scannapieco, CR SouthWith the game tied in the bottom of the seventh against Neshaminy, Scannapieco laid down a perfect bunt to drive in the winning run in the 2-1 victory. Tallie Smink, North PennTrailing 3-1 against CB South, Smink launched a three-run home run to secure the Knights’ win.
Sammi Clewell, AbingtonWith the game tied, the bases loaded and two outs in the seventh, Clewell’s ground single drove in the deciding run, giving the Ghosts a 5-4 walk-off win against Hatboro-Horsham. Jenna Thompson, PennsburyThe senior launched a grand slam in the sixth inning to give the Falcons the lead in a 9-7 victory against Methacton. Molly Alff, William TennentWith the game tied in the bottom of the eighth, Alff scorched a double into left field to drive in the game-winning run in a 4-3 walk-off win against Villa.
She did it again the very next game, hitting a two-run, go-ahead single in the sixth inning to give the Panthers a 5-4 victory over Upper Moreland. Maddie Motley, CB SouthHer single in the eighth inning drove in the go-ahead run for the Titans in a win over CR South. In the sixth inning, Motley hit a three-run home run for the Titans, who trailed 9-5 at the time.
Elaina Bhatt, CB EastIn the top of the eighth inning, Bhatt hit a solo home run that would hold as the game-winner in a 12-11 victory against Pennridge. Against New Hope-Solebury, Bhatt hit another game-winner, this time an RBI walk-off single in the 5-4 victory. Hailey Helmstetter, CB EastThe sophomore leads the Patriots with 12 RBIs in seven games, including a two-run home run in the eighth inning in a win against Pennridge.
She hit another two-run homer in the next game, a loss to Pennsbury. She has one or more RBIs in six straight games for the Patriots, who are 4-3 after finishing 5-15 last year. Averi Dockery, PennridgeAfter missing most of last season due to injury, Dockery has been crushing the ball in her return to the lineup.
In seven games, she is 14-for-18 – that’s a .778 batting average – with three home runs, and also leading the team in RBIs and runs scored. In her first pitching start, against state champion North Penn, Dockery gave up six hits and two earned runs while striking out 16 to earn the complete game win.
Ellie Hilton, QuakertownThe junior was 3-for-4 with a home run, a double and five RBIs in the Panthers’ win against Harry S. Truman. For the season, she has 11 RBIs, four doubles and one triple in six games.
Bella Roma, AbingtonPinch-hitting in the bottom of the seventh with the game tied, Roma blasted a line drive through the gap to send the deciding run across the plate and give Abington the walk-off win against Bensalem. Ellie Miller, NeshaminyThe sophomore was the hero in Neshaminy’s game against ultimate rival Pennsbury. With two outs in the bottom of the seventh and the game tied 1-1, Miller doubled to drive in the winning run in the walk-off victory.
Softball Rankings: In Bucks County high school softball, these small schools are hitting it out of the parkTop Pitching Performances:Lauren Berard, Conwell-EganThe Eagles’ new ace gave up one hit, one walk and no runs in her last two games, striking out 11 in 10 innings in wins against PCL rivals Little Flower and Lansdale Catholic. Karlye Teman, PalisadesThe senior became the programs all-time leader in strikeouts when she recorded her 814th career strikeout in the Pirates’ first game of the season. In the team's first five games, Teman has fanned 67 batters in 33 innings.
Graciene Gale, Archbishop WoodThe senior pitched a gem against Villa Joseph Marie, giving up two hits in a complete game shutout. She struck out nine and had two hits in the win. Delaney Stout, Upper MorelandThe Golden Bears’ ace pitched a two-hit shutout, striking out 14 in a complete game win against Springfield.
She also had a pair of doubles and two RBIs at the plate. In wins against Phoenixville and Lansdale Catholic, Stout gave up a total of five hits and one earned run while striking out 25 batters in 11 innings. Brianna Slack, BristolThe Warriors’ star is 4-0 on the season with a 1.
31 ERA, giving up just five hits, three walks and three earned runs while striking out 32 in 16 innings. At the plate, she is hitting .733 with five doubles, two home runs and two triples.
Aubrey Gahman, Dock MennoniteShe pitched a three-hit, complete game shutout against Lansdale Catholic, striking out seven in the 11-0 win. Against MaST Charter, she gave up three hits and an unearned run while striking out five in a victory against the BAL opponent, and she threw a one-hit shutout while striking out 11 in a five-inning win against The Christian Academy. Mabel Klossner, New Hope-SoleburyThe sophomore picked up three straight wins in her last three starts for the Lions, giving up a total of 12 hits and three earned runs while striking out 35 in 18 innings of work, including a relief appearance.
Kennedy Conn, Hatboro-HorshamThe sophomore gave up two hits and no walks while striking out 15 batters in a complete game shutout win against Bensalem, and she tossed a one-hit shutout against Upper Moreland, striking out nine in the 4-0 victory. In wins against Mt. St.
Joseph and Gwynedd Mercy, Conn allowed two runs while fanning 18 through 15 innings, and against unbeaten Upper Dublin, she gave up two hits and an unearned run with 10 strikeouts in the 1-0 loss. Felicia Connelly, North PennThe junior made her North Penn pitching debut in the season opener against Neshaminy, tossing a complete game and giving up seven hits and three earned runs while striking out 15, but an injury kept her sidelined for the next four games. In her return against Souderton, she pitched four innings to earn the win, and also went 2-for-3 with an RBI.
Brandi Groarke, North PennPressed into starting pitching duties due to an injury, the Knights’ shortstop tossed a gem against CB West, giving up two hits and one walk while striking out 13 in the 3-2 win. Rylie O’Toole, William TennentThe Panthers’ ace went eight innings to secure the 4-3 win against Villa Joseph Marie, allowing eight hits and no walks while striking out 12 batters. In a 5-4 win over Upper Moreland, she allowed just two hits and one walk and no earned runs.
