There's a new Grinch café in Manchester city centre - and it has opened just in time for the return of the Manchester Christmas Markets. The green furry Grinch, famed for being grouchy about the festive period in the movies and children's storybooks, has taken over the Primark café on Market Street . So for anyone feeling a bit Grinch-y themselves about the festive takeover of the city centre this November, it may well just be the tonic.
The café inside the department store is known for going all out with themes, and has most recently had a Shrek theme . Now it has well and truly gone all out with the Grinch inspiration with a new menu and lots of colourful cartoons in the café, found in the far corner of the ground floor off Market Street. There is also a fully stocked cake cabinet, where you can grab a Grinch green cookie too. Younger visitors will also get the opportunity to send a Letter to Santa courtesy of the Grinch - who stands guard by a special postbox at the counter. But we're sure he won't be disrupting the delivery of the letters, despite his anti-Christmas stance.
The Grinch theme is the latest to take over the cafe space on Market Street. Previous themes in Manchester and at the Trafford Centre stores have included SpongeBob Squarepants, Lilo & Stitch, Lion King and Hello Kitty. The Grinch Cafe is open now inside Primark on Market Street.
