More details about ‘Zero Company’ will be shared later this week LucasFilm Games has announced a big new Star Wars game is currently being developed – with more details about Zero Company coming later this week. Publisher Electronic Arts confirmed Star Wars: Zero Company yesterday (April 14) in a short blog post . “Recruit an unconventional team of operatives and deploy them on missions unlike any other in the galaxy far, far away in Star Wars: Zero Company ,” it read, with the single-player turn-based tactics game currently being developed by Bit Reactor in collaboration with Respawn Entertainment and Lucasfilm Games.
The game will be set during the clone wars, which took place between 2002’s Attack Of The Clones and 2005’s Revenge Of The Sith . A first look image of Star Wars: Zero Company was also shared, revealing “just a few members of the elite squad under your command.” It’s your turn to take command during the Clone Wars.

com/EuGjUEJJLo — Star Wars (@starwars) April 14, 2025 Bit Reactor was only formed back in 2022 but is made up of industry veterans behind games such as Gears Of War , XCOM and Elder Scrolls while last year, Respawn cancelled its own Star Wars game after a series of lay-offs . According to reports the first-person shooter was inspired by popular Disney+ spin-off The Mandalorian and would see players taking control of a bounty hunter in a galaxy far, far away. However fans are excited about this new game, which many are already calling “ XCOM Star Wars ” .
“Match made in heaven honestly, making it out of impossible odds by the skin of your teeth is peak Star Wars ,” said one fan about the mash-up. “If this game is good, it will be a dream come true. XCOM modded to be Star Wars was one of the most fun playthroughs for me, hope these developers can nail what they did with XCOM before,” wrote one fan on Reddit.

More details about the game are set to be unveiled during ‘ Stars Wars Celebration Japan’, with a special panel set to take place April 20 at 8:30am BST. Last month it was announced free-to-play squad shooter Star Wars: Hunters would be shutting down less than a year after it first launched .
