WARNING: This article contains spoilers for Season 3 Episode 7 of The White Lotus. The White Lotus star Carrie Coon dished about her 'humiliating' hookup scene from episode 7 in an interview with Vanity Fair. Carrie plays Laurie Duffy , a corporate lawyer who is on a girls trip in Thailand with her childhood friends Jaclyn Lemon (Michelle Monaghan) and Kate Bohr (Leslie Bibb).

After the tension between the trio reached a fever pitch , Laurie ventures out on her own and hooks up with White Lotus health mentor Valentin's (Arnas Fedaravicius) buddy Aleksei (Julian Kostov), only to realize that he had an ulterior motive for sleeping with her. After they finish hooking up, Aleksei asks Laurie for $10,000 to help his sick mother in an uneasy moment that is interrupted by his girlfriend banging on the door. "It's so humiliating to think that very likely he's really just after her for that.

And that's crushing," the 44-year-old actress said. "Laurie's really suffering and really lonely, and then it leads to maybe some bad decisions." The scene also confirmed fan suspicions that he and his friends were behind the armed robbery that occurred at the hotel earlier in the season as the stolen jewelry can be seen in the room.

Laurie scrambles to get dressed and makes her escape through an open window as the girlfriend bursts into the room and slaps her around while she hangs from the windowsill. "I love that stuff. I love stunts.

It was a minimal stunt, but I did actually get to do it myself. I went out that window like 10 times," the Gone Girl star recalled. "Mike [White] was delighted by that scene because we always see a man do this; we always see a man have to scramble out of a bedroom.

You rarely see a woman have to scramble out," she added. When it comes to her character's experience, The Gilded Age star said: "She had a good time, but it's really driving home that this whole vacation has been about reflecting on the choices she's made in her life, especially as they exist relative to her girlfriend's lives, which, at least on the surface, are more successful than her own at this point." "And to have that bottom is the place where she can maybe finally star to take a look at what her part is in those choices and maybe take responsibility for some of those choices.

Maybe." The final episode The White Lotus season 3 airs on Sunday April 6. Click here to follow the Mirror US on Google News to stay up to date with all the latest news, sports, and entertainment stories.
