The White Lotus is an iconic show that many people have been loving since it's debut season, and as the Season 3 finale approaches, the show's production team is prepared in case there any 'leaks'

The White Lotus has made a name for itself for being unpredictable, which is the main reason fans love the series. As the Season 3 finale approaches, White Lotus fans are anticipating how this season will conclude , leading many fan theories and speculations to be spewed. The show’s executive producer, David Bernard, shared during an interview with People that he and the show’s creator, Mike White , had a Plan B to ensure the show remained gasp-worthy.

“We have fake endings to the scripts,” David told the news outlet. “So we wrote up — we have six different endings — and we kind of distributed fake endings to people just in case someone leaked anything, and then we could say there's different fake endings,” he added. David went on to confess that it was “locked down set” when it came to an ending scene.

“And then when we shot the ending scene, it's a locked down set,” he noted. “So no one really has access to what we were shooting and there would be no non-White Lotus participants ever seeing what we're doing.” During shooting for Season 3, David said that there were “three secrets” to keep, which were how it ends, Jon Gries’ return (after possibly killing Jennifer Coolidge's Tanya in season 2), and Sam Rockwell’s multi-episode arc, per People.

So to keep these secrets under wraps, David revealed that there were “great lengths” that were gone through. “Jon was really committed to keeping the secret,” he remarked. “And when we were traveling and entered Thailand, he, one time, rode with the equipment in a bus, instead of flying the 45 minutes or whatever it was.

I think he drove like, 12 hours from Phuket to Bangkok.” He continued: “But we were shooting at the Four Seasons, a scene with Jon Gries, and there was people looking and filming from a room,” mentioning that the crew immediately jumped on damage control. “They didn't know that what they were filming was sensitive, and I was really scared they were going to post it," David added.

"So I had the hotel manager go and bring them over to the set and I kind of schmoozed them and got them on my side,” he further said. He also revealed that he first “casually” suggested that they delete the video, but to ensure the secret was safe, he also brought them to “hang on set.” David recalled: “[We] were like, ‘We got to make them part of the experience,’ so that I could get them to delete all the footage they had.

They unknowingly didn't realize they were filming something that was very sensitive.” The Season 3 finale premieres on April 6. DAILY NEWSLETTER: Sign up here to get the latest news and updates from the Mirror US straight to your inbox with our FREE newsletter.
