The Voice just got a little more country. The NBC singing competition series announced they will welcome music icons LeAnn Rimes and Sheryl Crow as their season 27 Mega Mentors to assist the coaches and contestants during the playoff round. Rimes—who became the youngest person to ever win the Grammy for Best New Artist in 1997 at 14 years old—will support coaches John Legend and Adam Levine .

Crow, who herself is a nine-time Grammy winner, will join coaches Kelsea Ballerini and Michael Bublé . Both mega mentors celebrated the announcement by sharing the news to their Instagram Stories. Rimes and Crow join an elite group of musicians who have filled the important role of Mega Mentor, with the position previously going to stars like Taylor Swift and Keith Urban , as well as former Voice coaches Reba McEntire and Jennifer Hudson .

And just as the pair are accomplished musicians, they are also experienced when it comes to The Voice . Crow actually served as the Mega Mentor in season four of the show in 2013 and has performed on the Voice stage multiple times. For her part, Rimes previously served as a coach on both The Voice UK and The Voice Australia , even winning the 13th season of the latter back in October.

Earlier this season, each current coach brought in an advisor to support their teams. Bublé invited Wicked star Cynthia Erivo , while Legend welcomed Coco Jones . Plus, Ballerini got Little Big Town to step up to the plate, and Levine—who returned to the show as a coach this season after exiting in 2019—was joined by his high school classmate Kate Hudson .

"I've known Adam since high school!" Hudson told Entertainment Tonight last month. “His first band, they were always playing somewhere. It's amazing to see his success and then to be here doing this with him, it feels very familiar, yet surreal at the same time.

" (E! and NBC are both part of the NBCUniversal family.).
