The Traitors has kept the public entertained with game playing and tense scenes keeping fans of the BBC show on the edge of their seats. As the faithfuls and one remaining traitor battled it out to scoop the £94,000 cash prize viewers shared the same complaint just minutes into the final. The extended-length episode of The Traitors on Friday (January 24) saw Leanne and Jake, both faithfuls from the start, win the life-changing cash prize after kicking off fellow forever Faithful Francesca in the last stage of the BBC show.

Yet some viewers took to social media and complained about The Seer twist, which was brought in earlier this week. During intense scenes, host Claudia Winkleman revealed to the contestants that one of them will be given an “extraordinary power” which will change the game - the player with The Seer could found out a contestant's true identity. It was a huge blow for Charlotte after she was revealed to be a traitor by Francesca resulting in her swift exit from the show during a tense round table discussion.

One X user fumed: "Poor show at the end . Everyone knew how it was going to end. A great series ruined by over production.

The seer, was a think tank product that crashed and burned. A show called Traitors, that doesn’t have a traitor in the finale has failed." A second agreed: "Adding the seer to the game was a bad idea.

Not a fan of how that final went #TheTraitors." "The ‘Seer’ idea was absolutely awful. Focused the entire show on two people over the last two episodes, sucking out most of the interpersonal drama and excitement.

The final outcome was a big ‘Meh’," another complained. A fourth vented: "I’m sorry but the Seer twist was ridiculously unfair on Charlotte. Catching a traitor is one thing but having the traitor exposed the night before is terrible.

What a disappointing end to what was a brilliant series. #TheTraitors" Another commented: "I hadnt watched #Traitors before this season and really enjoyed it all the way until the daft Seer thing. It completely ruined the final, everything that happened in the final episode was predictable and drawn out.

" A sixth shared: "Please do NOT bring back the Seer thing next series. Much prefer it when they do reveal if they're Traitors at that stage of the competition #TheTraitors," while another threatened: "Going to call Ofcom #Traitors." However, others claimed they loved the show twist, as one admitted: "Unpopular Opinion.

If this seer power wasn't used on Charlotte, she would be walking away with the money." Another commented: "Can we all agree that this “Seer” twist was actually really good? We now have a traitor lying through their teeth and the faithfuls being more confused now than they have been all season." After Charlotte's eviction, the final banishment saw Traitors Alexander and Frankie also given the boot and missing out on the cash prize.

Jake and Leanne scooped the prize as they were crowned show winners. Leanne told how she hoped to spend her cash on IVF to have another baby with her fiancee, while Jake, who has cerebral palsy, planned to spend his cash on giving back to his mum and dad after a difficult childhood..
