McKinstry, a second-round rookie out of Alabama, has missed the last two games because of the injury. But if he's able to go Sunday against the Cleveland Browns, his return figures to be a boost for a secondary that looks much different from the last time he was healthy. In McKinstry's absence, the Saints traded Marshon Lattimore to the Washington Commanders and have gone with a trio of Alontae Taylor, Shemar Jean-Charles and Ugo Amadi.
The Saints have also been without starter Paulson Adebo, who suffered a season-ending leg injury Oct. 13 against the Denver Broncos. In addition to McKinstry, wide receiver Cederick Wilson also was seen participating after missing last week with a shoulder injury.
Linebacker Pete Werner (hand) was seen in uniform, but was not participating. He was spotted with a bandage around his hand, days after interim coach Darren Rizzi said Werner was undergoing testing for the injury. Running back Jamaal Williams (groin) and guard Lucas Patrick (ankle) did not appear to practice for the Saints on Wednesday.
