The Mystery Behind Agya Kwabena’s Alleged Removal as Morning Show Host on UTV Unveiled

A Facebook post by NPP member PK Sarpong suggests that the situation is more complex than it appears. According to Sarpong, Agya Kwabena has been pushed to the sidelines and now hosts a Saturday morning show, a time slot that is less advantageous as it competes with other popular television programs favored by many Ghanaians.

The post indicates that following the National Democratic Congress (NDC) assuming power, Agya Kwabena allegedly sought a government position. He reportedly reached out to officials within the Mahama administration, advocating for a role by highlighting his support for the NDC during his broadcasts. He is said to have communicated that he frequently expressed favorable views about the NDC while criticizing the NPP on air.



However, while those he approached were deliberating on his request, his supervisor, Fadda Dickson, became aware of his actions and expressed discontent. This situation reportedly led UTV management to acknowledge the validity of complaints regarding Agya Kwabena’s perceived bias and behavior akin to that of an NDC spokesperson. Consequently, they opted to remove him from his prominent weekday morning show and reassign him to a less favored Saturday morning slot.
