Over the years, Ashley Park has steadfastly held her own. Besides her ever-famous turn in Emily in Paris, our cover star for this December’s issue has also gone on to rack up a number of varying roles, from Naomi in Netflix’s hit limited series Beef to her part to play in zany comedy Joyride as Audrey Sullivan. But as many have been quick to clock, there’s a reason fan-favourite Mindy Chen seems so wholeheartedly an intrinsic part of the Korean-American actress.

Perhaps it’s her shared love for ascending a stage, or that gutsy ride-or-die quality everyone could only wish for in a BFF—a trait which Park herself seems fiercely acquainted with herself. But if you’re asking us? It could really be in their playfully glamorous wardrobe, one that has us questioning if there’s an actual line between the two’s sartorial sensibilities. Indeed, Park’s own fashion reachings lean experimental, dramatic and unbridled in expression.

She and Mindy are kindred spirits when it comes to colour, often opting for bold, vivid hues, from brat green nods and electric blues to myriad shades of lilac. Textural play is also very much up her alley, be it through an embellished gown from Kevin Germanier, unique draping accessories , or simply the deconstructed Lever Couture gown of liquid silver she wore to the Emily in Paris Season 4 premiere in Los Angeles. Yet if there were one fashion item that seems to permeate most of Park’s continually evolving wardrobe? It would be her love for an extra, extra high platform leather boot.

Below, a look back at some of the best style entrances from Ashley Park’s spanning career in the last few years..
