The Last of Us Season 2 is one of the most anticipated shows of the year. Led by Bella Ramsey and Pedro Pascal, the show is based on a game of the same name. But the series' success has been credited to the extended storylines built for supporting characters as well as performances of the leading cast.

The show takes place in a post-apocalyptic world with a fungal infection which takes over people and turns them into zombie-like species. The show follows a bounty hunter, Joel who has been tasked with taking a young girl to a safe location. The story takes a turn when he finds out she is immune to the infection, but the only way she can help create a cure is by dying.

The series is about to explore a new stage in their lives as they have settled into a small, remote town with other survivors. However, things aren't as easy as they seem. Bella, who played Ellie, the girl immune to the infection, recently opened up about her character in a conversation with Mashable India.

When talking about season 2, she called it more of a challenge. She added it was good to be challenged, but confessed, 'the filming process was a lot harder in many ways than season one.' In The Last Of Us Season 2, the show is set to return five years after the events of the first season.

It will follow Joel and Ellie as they have settled into the town but are drawn into conflict with each other. As they are forced to deal with each other, the world turns even more dangerous and unpredictable than the one they left behind. Season one closely followed Joel and Ellie with few supporting characters that the two came across, in passing.

Some characters also had a non-linear following, which left Ellie and Joel not interacting with many other characters. Meanwhile, Joel's brother is a recurring character along with many others.

Talking about the changes in filming season 2, Bella said, "It was very different because in season one there was this consistency of like, it was me and Pedro all the time. And it was mostly just the two of us, and people dipped in and dipped out. But it was like seeing that familiar face on set every single day and knowing exactly what the dynamic was going to be and knowing each other so well.

And season two, it wasn't that." "So yeah, it was different. It was more challenging, challenging in a way.

It was less comfortable, I suppose, which I think was a good thing to challenge me for sure. It was definitely more of a challenge. This season was the filming process was a lot harder in many ways than season one," Bella added.

Craig Mazin on people criticizing Bella Ramsey for not looking older as Ellie in The Last of Us Season 2: “I understand that some people think Bella still looks the same, while Ellie in the game looks older. Some people change quite drastically and others don’t. I don’t get.

And then yeah, season two, cultivating that with the new cast members was really exciting to get to do.

And I think that in a similar way, we all carried each other through the second season, just in a different way than in season one." Bella also reveals that she had a rebellious past like Ellie, but they are very different. When asked if Ellie has ever popped up in her mind IRL, the actress shared, "Ellie is definitely a bit more rebellious.

I feel like I never, I never was a rebellious teenager because I made a very active decision not to be. Also, I kind of couldn't be because of my work. So it was really nice to like get that experience like, to play that.

I still really enjoy it. I don't, well, I don't know. It's kind of fun.

And the stuff in my everyday life with Ellie, I mean, I think in the way that when I drive in a car, I think my road rage that comes out is kind of similarly, similar to Ellie if she were driving and not in the apocalypse. I think we have a similar response to drivers on the road.
