Virat Kohli will be the centre of attraction when India take on Australia in the five match Test series starting on November 22. Virat's rich-vein form on Australian soil has made him a go-to player in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy. India are plying dangerously close to the brink of elimination from the World Test Championship.

Rohit Sharma's men need to pull out a 4-0 victory in order to secure a place in the WTC final for the third consecutive time. Virat has faced a lot of flak for his form and hasn't scored a Test century this year. The 36 year also struggled in the home stretch as New Zealand hammered India 3-0 in the recently held Test series.

Virat has amassed a staggering 1352 runs in 13 Tests against Australia in the BGT and he will be chasing to break Sachin Tendulkar's record who currently sits top with 1809 runs, the most by an Indian. Former India coach Ravi Shastri fired a warning to Australia as he backed Virat to come all guns blazing. In an interaction with Sanjana Ganesan on the ICC review the former Indian cricketer said, “Well, the King is back in his territory.

That's all I will tell them. “When you've earned that title after your exploits in Australia, it will be on your (opponent's) mind when you go out to bat.” He also pointed out certain aspects which could help Virat in enhance his skills against Australia.

“Your juices are flowing, you're charged up. It's again a case with Virat. You want to see calmness because at times you are overeager to get out there and throw the first punch.

“But I think that calmness in the first half an hour where he gets out to bat or in the first three innings of the series will be extremely important. If he can be calm and play the game at his own pace rather than being in a hurry, I think he'll be fine.” Get Latest News Live on Times Now along with Breaking News and Top Headlines from Cricket, Sports and around the world.
