But the reality icons are doubling down on their connection with Hulu, as Disney announced plans for a Kardashians spinoff on Tuesday. Executive VP Rob Mills, the head of Disney's unscripted unit, revealed that the famous family is developing a new series titled Calabasas Behind The Gates, according to Deadline .

Family matriarch Kris Jenner and her four daughters — Kim, Kourtney, Khloé, Kylie and Kendall — are all executive producers on the series as well. Despite the fan revolt against season six of The Kardashians, the series will be back for at least a seventh season.

Hulu previously renewed the show for a sixth and seventh in July 2024, just months after Disney bragged about the solid ratings for season five's premiere. However, streaming numbers are only made available when Disney chooses to release them, and the company notably didn't make the same kind of rapturous announcement this season that it did after the season five premiere.
