Although the countdown to Christmas doesn't officially start until December, November is a good time to start enjoying the festive atmosphere. Not only do light switch-ons take place throughout the month, but the markets and fairs also make a comeback. There is, of course, the famous Winter Wonderland, but there are other sites in or near London that are well worth a visit.
One of them is the Knebworth Christmas Fair , which will run this year from Friday, November 22 to Sunday, November 24. Located at Knebworth House & Barns in Hertfordshire, a historic venue set in 250 acres of parklands dating back to the 16th century, the three-day extravaganza is the region’s biggest holiday shopping event. It is packed with over 250 stalls offering a wide array of delicious food and drink, as well as trinkets that make great gifts.
