The Great Indian Kapil Show's Rajiv Thakur praises Kapil Sharma; says 'He has taken breaks from TV multiple times, but nobody has been able to take his place'

Comedian Rajiv Thakur , one of the popular faces on Indian television, shares a close bond with Kapil Sharma. The duo goes way back, as they have been childhood friends. Kapil and Rajiv have worked together in many TV projects and they love taking a dig at each other in their popular comedy shows .

Recently, during a podcast with Dostcast, Rajiv talked about ace comedian Kapil Sharma and revealed what makes him best in the business. During the chat, he revealed that nobody can take Kapil's place on television. Speaking about Kapil, he shared, "People will think that since Kapil gives me work, I praise him but I don’t care about judgements.



They can think whatever they want but I can vouch that nobody can take Kapil’s place. Kapil has taken breaks from television multiple times, but nobody has been able to take his place. I want to say that when the placement of things is right then the combination becomes deadly.

Ye placement set hui hai, there’s no doubt it is 60-70 percent Kapil who can carry the show." Rajiv further shared how Kapil entertains the audience for 3-4 hours during his TV shows, even though only one hour is gets telecast. He said, "People only watch one or one and a half hour of content, but he entertains fans 3/4 hours.

We shoot for 3/4 hours and out of it only 1 hour or one and a half hour of it is being telecast. Joh audience aayi show ke liye woh toh 3 ghante entertain horahi hai wahan baith ke." He added, "It’s not like the bad part of the show gets edited, the jokes are really good but there is time limit of telecast on television.

Aap ko dedh ghanta he daalna hai, aap best of the best daalte ho. Aap ko kayi baar best bhi kaatna padta hai. That man entertains the audience for 4 hours and that is the reason nobody has that kind of experience.

Ek toh aadmi talented ho, aur usmein se itna experience aajaye." Praising Kapil further, Rajiv went on to share how Kapil performs often performs without script, "I’ll explain you by giving a simple example. Our part is for 10 minutes.

We do 500 episodes, you multiply that with 10 minutes which is 500 minutes. But Kapil has 300 minutes of experience per episode on stage. We are with script but Kapil performs 100-150 minutes without script.
