This involves picking out a colour from a pattern on your clothing and matching it to other elements of your outfit.
It’s a great way to pull a look together without it ending up too matchy-matchy. Here we homed in on the brown on Julia’s dress and tied it in with the accessories. Coat, £199, phase-eight.
