Aldi, the UK’s fourth-largest supermarket, is set to invest £3,290,000 in Essex in 2025. This includes the development of a new store in Billericay. The new store is currently expected to open in late 2025.

The investment is part of Aldi’s £650 million package of annual investment to accelerate its expansion across Britain’s towns and cities. The rate of investment in 2025 continues on from an equally busy new store opening programme in 2024. Aldi stores have been opening in new locations such as Totton in Hampshire, Cribbs Causeway in Bristol and Pwllheli in Gwynedd in recent weeks.
