The city was finally able to have a full championship parade since 1988 (their 2020 World Series Championship was not followed by a parade due to the pandemic).
All over the world, including millions in the country of Japan, thanks to three of the team’s stars hailing from that country, Dodger fans are excited to see the Boys in Blue take on the task of repeating a championship. A back-to-back has not happened since 1999, when the Evil Empire of the New York Yankees won for the second in a row (and won again in 2000). Now, fans across the sport are calling the 2025 Los Angeles Dodgers the new evil empire, but don’t blame the team for doing everything it can to imrpove.
The Dodgers signed two-time Cy Young-winning starting pitcher Blake Snell, Japanese young pitching phenom Roki Sasaki, outfielder Michael Conforto, reliever Tanner Scott, reliever Kirby Yates, and South Korean utility player Hyeseong Kim among other additions. They also brought back Tommy Edman, Kiké Hernandez, Clayton Kershaw, Alex Vesia, and Teoscar Hernandez, creating a super team that includes former MVPs Mookie Betts and Freddie Freeman, as well as reigning MVP Shohei Ohtani. The Dodgers are simply stacked this year, and the odds have never been higher for at the beginning of a season to win a World Series.
Tickets are already selling at near-astronomical prices, and those lucky enough to get a seat will find themselves awash in food and drink options. While taking food inside is accepted and encouraged, save a few bucks by preparing a handy Michelada kit, which pairs well with any of the beers served at the ballpark. Six noteworthy concessions items will be served throughout the year:The Slugger: This 16-inch jalapeño cheddar sausage hot dog will be one of the most Instagrammable new bites at the stadium this year. The hot dog is topped with corn relish, white cheddar sauce, cilantro crema, and tortilla chips with French fries.
It’s located in the Left Field Pavillion near Section 51 at Think Blue BBQ and also the Reserve Level near Section 31 at Fan Fare.Korean Fried Chicken Bowl: Sweet-saucy Korean fried chicken comes with gochujang sauce and is placed over fried rice, topped with kimchi slaw and furikake. The Dodgers’ addition of Hyeseong Kim, one of the Korean Baseball Organization’s top young stars, should reinvigorate Korean American fans after the departure of pitcher Hyun-jin Ryu a few years ago.
