In March, the average price of unleaded dropped from 139.5p per litre to 135.2p – a welcome relief for motorists.
The drop was sparked by Asda cutting its fuel prices by 4p per litre on March 14, prompting other major supermarkets to follow suit. Facing stiff competition from Tesco, Sainsbury’s, Lidl and Aldi, Asda has been making efforts to win back market share – including cutting prices on 1,500 everyday items both in-store and at the pump. Known for historically offering some of the lowest fuel prices, Asda’s latest cuts have helped drive down prices across the sector.
To help you save at the pump this Easter, here are the latest petrol and diesel prices at stations across south east London: Bexley (within a five-mile radius) Bromley (within a five-mile radius) Greenwich (within a five-mile radius) Lewisham (within a five-mile radius).
