One resurfaced episode of ITV quiz show The Chase saw Paul Sinha erupt into giggles and host Bradley Walsh completely baffled.

The Chase fans were left bemused when one contestant began to walk off the ITV set midway through filming. Andrew was part of a team eager to beat the chaser and win a huge jackpot prize – but things quickly descended into chaos with Paul Sinha unable to contain his laughter and host Bradley Walsh utterly baffled. In a resurfaced episode fans couldn’t get over on Reddit , player Andrew was asked the question: “Which of these boys’ names does NOT appear in the title of a Roald Dahl novel?” with the answers Tom, James and Charlie.

Andrew cited the works James and the Giant Peach and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory as his reasons for putting ‘Tom’ as the answer, but Bradley threw a spanner in the works. He joked: “What about Tom and the whacking great cat?” as the audience erupted into laughter, with Andrew quipping back: “That was never read to me as a child.” Bradley continued: “Do you not remember that book? Tom and the great big sausage!” “I think there’s a reason that wasn’t read to me as a child!” Andrew joked back – forcing Paul to turn away from the camera to contain his giggles.

Bradley was left fighting his own tears of laughter as Paul joked: “Is that the one where he had an accident in his chocolate factory?” Andrew wanted to cut things short as he giggled his way through, telling the audience: “We’ll see you after the break, folks!” – and the programme did in fact cut to an ad break. When it returned, professionalism had been restored, with Andrew’s answer revealed as correct. He shook hands with Bradley and began to walk away before Brad could ask him anything else – forcing him and Paul to start laughing again.

Brad quipped: “Didn’t even want to say goodbye!” as a bemused Andrew stood behind the contestants’ desk. Fans on Reddit were left in hysterics over the resurfaced moment, with one writing: “They actually went to a break! That’s brilliant.” And someone else agreed: “Bradley’s an absolute legend, his unpredictablity must make him a nightmare to work with but no one does it better.
