The Bolton News pub of the week is The Hen and Chickens

The Hen & Chickens has been under the management of Paul Kirkman, 58, since 2017, who previously ran The Albion on Moor Lane for 12 years. We spoke to Mr Kirkman and asked him all about the pub. Tell us about the pub It's been here since the 1700s.

This is a proper old boozer, it's an original, old-fashioned boozer. We do live music on weekends, everything from soul music to Irish music to rock bands, punk nights. The pub's beer garden (Image: NQ) We've got the best beer garden in town, nobody ever sees this beer garden, nobody knows it's here.



There are only a few beer gardens in the town centre so it's good to have...
