We have listed the top tier primary schools in Bolton as rated by the education watchdog. There are a wide array of schools across the borough, with 100 primaries and 30 secondaries. Of those 100 primary schools, 15 have been given all-outstanding ratings by education watchdog Ofsted .
The regulator formerly gave schools ratings for certain aspects, as well as an overall rating, but last year announced it would stop giving overall ratings. Schools which were rated under the old system will retain their ratings until the next time they are assessed. What was the Ofsted grading?
