Imagine a machine that merges the best of Maserati’s MC20 supercar and champion GT2 race car–and make it street-legal. That’s Maserati’s all-new GT2 Stradale , the marque’s fastest-ever road-going internal combustion sports car, available to North American customers beginning in 2025. The road-ready Stradale–that’s Italian for “street” –blends power, speed, and aerodynamics with Modenese style for the latest chapter in the Trident’s evolution.
Designed for performance enthusiasts, the supercar couples the road manners of the MC20 halo car with the technical prowess of the Maserati GT2 for the ultimate driving experience: a race car for daily use. “The Maserati GT2 Stradale is a tribute to exclusive performance at its most extreme,” says Maserati Global Chief Marketing Officer Giovanni Perosino. “We combined the advanced technology and timeless style from both the Maserati GT2, a track-focused performance marvel designed for the brand’s return to GT racing, and the Maserati MC20, our distinctive super sports car embodying the Trident’s unique stylistic flair.
” Take one look at the Stradale’s chiseled body with louvered fenders and butterfly doors–or take a peek inside at its exposed carbon-fiber monocoque–and its racing heritage is clear. The car stays true to Maserati’s racing DNA while enhancing comfort and safety systems. But translating race track-worthy performance to public pavement is no easy feat, especially given the Stradale’s rear-wheel-drive setup.
It shares the same in-house Nettuno 3.0-liter, twin-turbocharged V-6 as the MC20 but dials up the horsepower to 631. To optimize the car’s power to weight ratio, Maserati’s engineers made heavy use of carbon fiber, shaving 132 pounds from the GT2 Stradale’s frame.
The result is breathtaking acceleration–0 to 60 mph in less than 2.8 seconds–on its way to a heart-pounding top speed of 201 mph. The Stradale’s sculpted silhouette enhances its aerodynamics, from the matte carbon air intake flaps on its hood to the vents on its rear fenders.
Its three-way adjustable oversized carbon-fiber spoiler and redesigned rear diffuser can generate more than 1,100 pounds of downforce. The redesigned carbon bumper and front splitter alone produce almost as much downforce on the front of the car as the entire MC20 generates. “It’s a performance vehicle created to satisfy the most astute connoisseurs of driving while reflecting the brand’s core spirit,” Perosino adds.
“Intended to be a track car that can be driven every day, this model was crafted to offer our customers a higher level of precision, excitement, and sophistication when it comes to road driving.” But the race car knows how to behave in public too. Drivers can adjust the car’s ground clearance at the push of a button to maneuver over speed bumps or other obstacles on city streets.
Four drive modes help customize your experience depending upon the weather, the terrain and your mood. Corsa Mode unleashes the car’s full potential by minimizing electronic control to put the driver in complete command. Designed for the race track, Corsa promises a raw, exhilarating drive with unfiltered speed and agility.
Sport Mode sharpens the car’s responses and delivers a more dynamic driving experience for the street. GT Mode is for highway driving and cruising around town. Wet Mode enhances stability and automatically adjusts traction control on slick roads and in unpredictable weather.
Despite its performance chops and track credentials, the Stradale prizes comfort too. Its cabin features custom carbon-fiber racing seats upholstered in smooth blue Alcantara, class-leading cargo space, and a sleek 10.25-inch digital touch screen.
The black Alcantara steering wheel features carbon inserts and racing shift up lights. An exclusive partnership between Maserati and Sonus faber produces concert hall-like sound through an immersive audio system. “Adding to its track-ready brilliance, the GT2 Stradale also assures comfort and security with the most advanced driver assistance systems expected by everyday drivers,” Perosino says.
That includes a 360-degree camera, adaptive cruise control, blind spot alert, and traffic sign recognition. To further enhance safety, the Stradale uses knobs for essential functions including audio volume and drive mode selection so that you don’t need to paw at a touch screen while piloting at high speeds. The GT2 Stradale couples the best of the Trident’s racing heritage and mass production techniques.
A Performance Package adds carbon-ceramic brakes, semi-slick Michelin tires, and an electronic limited-slip differential with unique calibrations. Four-point harnesses and a fire extinguisher mean that it’s always ready for track day. Drivers can further customize their ride through Fuoriserie, the brand’s bespoke personalization program.
