While Hollywood’s awards season may now be over after a very eventful few months – we won’t forget that Oscars race in a hurry – London is still delivering glitz and glamour on the red carpet. Held on a surprisingly sunny Sunday at the Royal Albert Hall, the 2025 Olivier Awards brought together the great and good of acting royalty to celebrate British theatre. It was a big night for Fiddler on the Roof , Giant and The Curious Case of Benjamin Button , which each took home three awards.
Romola Garai won Best Supporting Actress for her role in The Years , beating herself in the same category, while Lesley Manville – who recently appeared on the Burberry runway – won Best Actress for Oedipus. When it came to the fashion, the evening was a tasteful affair. Former British Vogue cover star Elizabeth Debicki looked ethereal in a floor-sweeping Dior gown, while Maya Jama opted for a fitted houndstooth skirt suit.
