February half term can be a tricky one for families, many of whom are still counting the cost of Christmas . And if you can't afford to head to sunnier climes, the weather isn't always up to much in the UK. But that doesn't mean you can't still find a fun place for a break away that won't cost the earth.
Regent Bay Holiday Park is just 90 minutes from Manchester, in Morecambe, Lancashire, and has plenty on offer for families this school holidays. You don't need to go far for anything once you're there, as it's got its own convenience store and there's an onsite Boathouse Bar and Restaurant offering meals and snacks, with a variety of entertainment including live shows at weekends and in the school holidays. If you do want to explore the area though, the caravan park is just a five-minute stroll from Morecambe's beach and promenade and less than three miles from the popular Happy Mount Park, with adventure golf, train rides and more. Arnside and Silverdale, designated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, are on the doorstep and you're just a 15-minute drive from Lancaster, home to Lancaster Castle and popular for shopping and dining.

One holidaymaker, who stayed at the site in November and gave it a five-star rating, said: "Have had a great time staying here in a private let. Plenty to do for any kids.
Our dogs loved it here. Near ish to town centre. If you like a walk about 15 mins to shops and front.
Love the local chippy just adjacent to Regent Road. Great food. Site has a shop, swimming pool and small court to play and enjoy.
