Editor's Note: Come back this weekend for comments from every record-breaking athlete.The only thing faster than the Zebras on Friday night was the pace at which school records were falling.Claremore track-and-field athletes delivered a historic showing at the Zebra Invitational on the Andy Payne Track, breaking four school records in a single evening — three on the girls side and one from the boys.

Leading the charge was senior Emma Robinson, who continued her incredible spring season with a dominant victory in the girls 1600 meters, clocking a school-record 5:01.38 to win the race by nearly 14 seconds.She shattered her own previous record of 5:10.



26 set earlier this season. Robinson wasn’t done, either — she returned to win the 800 in a personal-best 2:18.37, then closed the meet by anchoring the 4x400 relay, which placed seventh in 4:29.

59.The Claremore girls sprint relays were also electric, rewriting the record books in the 4x100 and the 4x200.The quartet of Addison Doyle, Addison Reavis, Ava Jestes and Lynie Bailey blazed to a time of 48.

78 seconds in the 4x100, eclipsing the previous mark of 49.81 they set earlier this season. The same four placed second in the 4x200 with a record time of 1:44.

11.Doyle continued her breakout campaign with a third-place finish in the 100 meters, setting a personal best of 12.67 seconds, and also ran a leg of the 4x400.

Reavis placed third in the 400 with a season-best 1:00.34, while Jestes clocked a PR of 13.61 in the 100, placing 17th.

Bailey added a fifth-place finish in the 100 (12.98) and took second in the 200 (26.76).

Not to be outdone, senior Landon King launched the boys discus 171 feet, 8 inches, breaking his previous best by more than 22 feet. His throw not only topped the field Friday but also ranks in the top 100 nationally this season..
