Supermarket giant Tesco is making a change to its Clubcard app and is urging customers to take action before the end of the month, Monday March 31. Although many millions of Tesco customers still use their plastic Clubcard or maybe a keyfob Clubcard when they’re out doing their shopping, more and more customers are turning to the Clubcard app on their phone. There’s nothing worse than getting to the till and suddenly realising you don’t have your Clubcard with you and being made to pay the non-Clubcard prices, which can often be significantly more.

The app means you don’t have to remember to carry your Clubcard with you and you can quickly load up your Clubcard on your phone and scan it. But from March 31, Tesco is updating its app for both Apple iPhone and Android users, meaning customers will not be able to carry on using their Clubcard on the Tesco Shopping & Clubcard app unless they download an update. Tesco said in a message to customers: “To increase your data protection and online security, we're updating our Tesco app to a newer version.

“After 31 March, older versions of the app will no longer work. To keep shopping and enjoying all of your Clubcard benefits on your app, make sure you have the latest version before 31 March. “This update won't affect anything you do on tesco.

com" “Update your Tesco app today. Carry on managing your shop and Clubcard in one place.” Android including Samsung users can update their app from the Play store and iPhone users can update their app from the iOs store.
