She added a subtle yet heartfelt tribute to her late husband to her look as she wore a pendant featuring an image of Steve. Steve died on September 4, 2006, at the age of 44 after being pierced in the chest by a stingray while filming a documentary on the Great Barrier Reef. The Steve Irwin Gala, which features a three-course meal, is an annual celebration of the life and legacy of the famed wildlife warrior.

The gala dinner, held in both Brisbane and Las Vegas, raises money for Wildlife Warriors - a charity, previously called the Steve Irwin Conservation Foundation, founded by Steve in 2002. Robert recently gushed over his close bond with his mother Terri and sister Bindi, revealing the tragic loss of Steve brought them all closer together.
