The Northland will be sunny on Wednesday and highs will rise into the upper 40s and start melting the snow that accumulated over the weekend. Winds will calm down and begin to shift out of the west with a sustained breeze of 5-15 mph. Thursday will be similar to Wednesday.
A few clouds will slide through the area, but temperatures will still warm up well into the 40s by the afternoon and early evening. ADVERTISEMENT However, as we head to the weekend, Friday could bring a wintry mix to much of the region, with highs near freezing. The precipitation likely will begin as rain showers but will quickly transition to more snow than rain.
