The union minister of state Suresh Gopi also attended the special temple ritual but now, one video of his is going viral across the internet.

In the video, Telugu natives can be seen coming towards the actor and falling on his feet in reverence and admiration. The news may be a little shock to native Malayalees but there is a reason behind the minister’s massive fandom in the Telugu belt. During the early 2000s, most of Suresh Gopi’s action movies would be dubbed into various other languages, However, his movies turned into a rage in Andhra.

According to popular producer Khader Hassan, the Malayali superstar was popular in Andhra as Allu Arjun is today for Keralites. It is a fact that Suresh Gopi’s ‘Commissioner’ ran for 100 days in theatres across Andhra while his other movie ‘Highway’ continues its cult status even today in the Andhra belt. Not just this, dozens of Suresh Gopi’s movies saw massive crowds across theatres in Andhra Pradesh.

Suresh Gopi is the second such regional actor to have made this inroads in Telugu heartland. The other actor was Rajinikanth..
