The Congress government has so far waived only Rs 22,000 crore farm loans, while loans worth Rs 79,387 crore need to be waived, claimed BJP state general secretary Dr Kasam Venkateshwarlu, addressing a press conference in Hyderabad on Monday. He alleged that the state government had not implemented any of the Six Guarantees, 66 assurances and 420 promises made to people before the Assembly polls. Venkateshwarlu said that the BJP was ready to accept the challenge of Chief Minister Revanth Reddy on funds released by the Centre to the state.
He said that Union minister G. Kishan Reddy had earlier made a detailed presentation of how the centre had released lakhs of crore funds for various works in the State. Meanwhile, the Uppal unit of BJP conducted a bike rally on Monday demanding the state government immediately issue ration cards to the poor.
Around 200 BJP activists later held a dharna in front of the civil supplies office for the ration cards..
