Teen boy charged with attempted murder after suspected stabbing

A teenager has been charged with attempted murder after a man was believed to have been stabbed earlier this week.

A teenager has been charged with attempted murder after a man was believed to have been stabbed earlier this week. The 20-year-old man is believed to have been attacked around the St John’s Court area of Radcliffe at around 3.45pm on Thursday October 24.

A teenager was arrested soon after for questioning and police have now announced that 18-year-old Daudi Bakari has been charged with attempted murder with other alleged offences. A Greater Manchester Police spokesperson said: “Today, Saturday October 26 2024, local Bury detectives have secured a charge for attempted murder from an incident earlier this week where an arrest was initially made.” Officers were at the scene (Image: Phil Taylor) They added: “This charge is in relation to an incident from the St John’s Court area of Radcliffe on Thursday October 25 2024.



ALSO READ: Arrest made after man seriously injured in Radcliffe stabbing ALSO READ: Man, 20, suffers 'serious injuries' after assault “Thankfully, injuries sustained by the victim are not believed to be life-threatening and is believed to be targeted, with no wider threat to the public.” Bakari, of Grange Grove, Whitefield has also been charged with grievous bodily harm with intent and with possession of offensive weapon in a public place. Police say that he has been remanded into custody and will be brought before Manchester and Salford Magistrates Court on Monday October 28.
