Status: cleared Chennai: A 17-year-old boy was apprehended for stealing at least 10 two-wheelers from various parts of the city. The Vepery police arrested the minor and recovered all vehicles from his possession on Saturday night. The arrest followed a complaint lodged by a woman in Vepery, who reported that her two-wheeler, parked outside her home on Tuesday night, was missing.
Police reviewed CCTV footage from the area to identify the suspect. He was tracked and taken into custody on Friday. Enquiries revealed said he was stealing vehicles parked on the roads using duplicate keys, created fake documents, and sold them in Andhra Pradesh through agents for anywhere between Rs 10,000 to Rs 20,000.
