The national grid operator selected Spark for a major upgrade of its “TransGO” network over the next five years. “TransGo is a private telecommunications network owned by Transpower, which it uses for substation protection, substation supervisory control and data acquisition, HVDC [high voltage direct current] protection, voice communications, corporate applications,” the Commerce Commission said in an August filing..
