The Teatro Real de Madrid has announced a conductor change for Rimsky-Korsakov’s “The Tale of Tsar Saltan.”The company said Maestro Karel Mark Chichon has been forced to withdraw from teh production due to medical reasons. As a result, Ouri Bronchti will take over.
Bronchti has conducted at La Monnaie, Royal Opera House, English National Opera, Festival Aix-en-Provence, Opéra Comique, and the English Touring Opera.The Tale of Tsar Saltan” will star Ante Jerkunica, Svetlana Aksenova, Stine Marie Fischer, Bernarda Bobro, Carole Wilson, Bogdan Volkov, Nina Minasyan, Evgeny Akimov, Alejandro del Cerro, Alexander Vassiliev, and Alexander Kravets.The opera is set to be presented between April 30 and May 11, 2025.
