TeAMA’s Family Fun Day Brings Joy and Raises Funds in Mojácar

TeAMA’s recent family fun day in Mojácar, held in honour of World Autism Awareness Day, proved to be a resounding success, drawing a large crowd and generating both awareness and vital support for the association’s work in the community. The event , which took place at the Centro de Usos Múltiples (Multi-Use Centre), was a vibrant celebration filled with music, games, food, and family-friendly activities, all designed to bring the community together in support of children and young people on the autism spectrum. Thanks to the generosity of attendees, supporters, and local businesses, the day raised an impressive total of €555 for TeAMA, the association for parents of children and adolescents with autism in the Levante Almeriense region.

More than 100 raffle prizes were won, donated by individuals and businesses from across the area, showing the deep well of community support for the cause. The celebration was timed to coincide with the lead-up to Día Mundial de Concienciación sobre el Autismo (World Autism Awareness Day), marked annually on 2 April. TeAMA’s mission includes raising awareness, providing resources, and creating inclusive spaces where neurodiverse children and their families can feel understood and supported. The funds raised will go directly towards local initiatives, therapies, and support programmes, continuing TeAMA’s essential work in the region.
