TCS signs two-year deal with McDonald's Philippines for modernisation

Tata Consultancy Services ( TCS ), India’s largest software services company, secured a two-year contract with the master franchise holder of McDonald's in the Philippines. Financial details of the deal were not disclosed. The partnership with George Yang-led Golden Arches Development Corporation (GADC) of the Philippines is TCS' first in the fast-food industry in the Asia Pacific region.

Under the terms of the deal, the Mumbai-based company will seek to standardise and digitise IT operations at more than 760 McDonald’s restaurants in the Philippines, TCS said in a regulatory filing on Wednesday. This will involve upgrading and shifting the current systems at GADC to the Cloud. “This partnership with TCS is another step in our continuous digital transformation .



The implementation of SAP S/4HANA on RISE will provide us greater agility through data-driven insights, enabling us to continuously improve our customer and employee experience,” said Margot Torres, managing director at GADC. According to TCS, the upgradation process will enhance efficiency, optimise operating costs, spur digital transformation and innovation, enhance franchisee experience driving stakeholder loyalty, and improve process optimisation as well as workforce productivity.
