Organised by the Tatau Festival Committee, the two-day competition which concluded yesterday attracted crowds from near and far, eager to witness the thrilling boat races.

The morning races featured five competitive categories, each showcasing the prowess and determination of the paddlers. In the 20 Paddlers Bidar/Temuai race, Kasihnya Warisan clinched first and third spots, while Kueh Brother 2 claimed second place. In the seven paddlers Bidar/Temuai category, Sama Samalaju emerged as champions, while Kueh Brother 3 and BDA 3 respectively claimed second and third place.



Sama Samalaju continued their winning streak in the 10 Paddlers Bidar/Temuai race, as Kueh Brother 3 and Sama Samalaju 3 respectively took second and third place. Another highlight was the 15 Paddlers Bidar/Temuai race with Kueh Brother 2 claiming victory, followed by Sama Samalaju in second place and Sama Samalaju 3 finishing third. Meanwhile, in the seven Paddlers Temuai category, Sri Anap claimed first place, with Pesaka Data Bian and Sri Jelai respectively taking home second and third spot.

In the afternoon, the three Paddlers Sampan category saw Duda Kelabu emerge champions after a fierce battle with Barley, who finished in second with Kenyulung Anap placing third. Kasihnya Warisan claimed both first and second place in the 25 Paddlers Bidar/Temuai race, as Kueh Brothers 1 finished third. Furthermore, Sri Anap claimed the top spot in the 10 Paddlers Temuai race, as Kai Penyarai and Pesaka Data Bian respectively secured second and third spot.

The afternoon’s highlight was the 30 Paddlers Bidar/Temuai race as Kasihnya Warisan dominated over their competition, seeing Kueh Brothers 1 finishing second and another boat registered under Kasihnya Warisan claimed third place. Concluding the afternoon events was the 15 Paddlers Temuai race, in which Sri Anap were victors, as Kai Penyarai and Pesaka Data Bian respectively claimed second and third place. Among those present were Minister in the Premier’s Department Dato Sri John Sikie Tayai, Jepak assemblyman Iskandar Turkee, Tatau district officer Jabang Juntan, and Pemanca Gerosen Jubin.
