Tana Mongeau got candid about her struggles with mental health and alcohol addiction amid ongoing Cancelled controversy. During the recent episode of her podcast, the internet personality shared that her struggle has intensified in recent weeks as she and her co-host Brooke Schofield have faced harsh criticism online. "My mental health has been and is inarguably one of the worst states of my entire life,” she shared.
“And the way I deal with that is very scary, added Tana. But as she and her podcast faced heavy criticism from her fans, the 26-year-old youtuber admitted that her original plan was derailed. "I think that was a beautiful plan but I was not accounting for all of the things that would then go down,” she shared.
“And then when you're already drinking and sh-t's just going down and you're stressed and you want to f-----g die, it's hard because that's a coping mechanism I've always, always leaned on. And in a perfect world I would be at Passages Malibu,” continued Tana. She further explained, "I think I was doing pretty well at being moderate until - and I'm not blaming anything on that - that's just myself and my chemical makeup.
As my mental health declined I noticed myself falling into the same coping mechanism that I have and always will love - which is substance abuse." “I'm definitely in a place now where I want to kick that. But I'm always in that f-----g place,” Tana added.
