We're in the process of finalising all our senior teams. The energy is positive and everyone has been highly committed to getting fit and ready for the season.
We are really proud to be retaining lots of key players across all senior grades. They will provide great foundations and support for our new players and some of the younger girls stepping up. We need to see what Claudia McKimmie will do again this season.
She was absolutely dynamic in 2024 and her leadership on and off the court is brilliant. We are keen to see how our shooters give the defenders a run for their money. With , Cassi Mathey and Anna Beirs working together, we think these combinations will be unstoppable in the ring.
We are confident all teams will make finals and be tough competitors across the season. We've had a good combination of experienced players and new, young girls, so we're very happy with how our teams are coming together. I'm very keen to see how Yack goes against some of the teams that have been in finals for consecutive years.
Some great match-ups will be Yack and , and Yack and Kiewa. We are also interested to see how goes and whether they can strive to make finals for a second year in a row. New Hoppers' coach Tash Clemson is tipped to be an exciting addition to the competition after making her return to netball from rugby league.
After making the semi-finals last season, the Hoppers should remain in the finals race, retaining Claudia McKimmie, Hannah Pole and Renee Page from 2024, while Anna Beirs has also committed to the club. Cassi Mathey brings further Ovens and Murray experience to the goal circle. Fourth DAILY Today's top stories curated by our news team.
