A Westhoughton takeaway has had its food hygiene rating boosted after its latest inspection. Westhoughton Tandoori in Market Street received a four out of five score after a visit recorded by the Food Standards Agency. The new ranking is a welcome turnaround for the business, following its last inspection in November, which previously scored a one.

The new report praises the takeaway for its food handing, in which it received a perfect five out of five score. When it came to compliance with confidence management, the business scored a 10, which means "generally satisfactory".



The inspector noted that the tandoori is currently in the process of completing paperwork, which would have otherwise boosted the score further. Westhoughton Tandoori was contacted for comment..
