Recently, a throwback video of Ajay and Tabu from the film’s promotions resurfaced online, where the former jokingly revealed why the latter is still unmarried. In a throwback interview with Navodaya Times, Ajay Devgn revealed that he was once asked about what Tabu would look for in a suitable man. He hilariously replied, “Tabu ko main chahiye, usko wo mil nahi sakta (Tabu wants me but that can’t happen).
" After a playful tussle, he quickly corrected himself by saying, “Matlab mere jaisa yaar. Mere jaisa aur koi duniya mein hain nahi (Someone like me but there’s none in the world quite like me)." Tabu chimed in, saying, “Exactly, main samajh gayi meri jaan (I understood)" and kissed his hand.
She further added, “Ye aise hain toh mujhe bardasht karte hain. Kuch aur hotey toh shayad mujhe bardasht nahi kar paate (He wouldn’t have tolerated me if he were different)." The Haider actor also said, “Meri toh shaadi bhi nahi hui, tumne toh fir bhi shaadi kar li, bacche kar liye (I am not married yet, you got married and have kids now).
" A glimpse of Tabu and Ajay Devgn’s crackling chemistry was first seen in Vijaypath in 1994. They also went on to star in multiple films after, such as Thakshak, Drishyam 2, and others. Initially, they too, underwent the scrutiny of relationship rumours but the audience later saw through their beautiful friendship, ultimately putting the speculations to rest.
On the work front, Tabu will be next seen in Bhooth Bangla, starring Akshay Kumar and Paresh Rawal. As for Ajay Devgn, he was last seen in Azaad. Up next, he has Raid 2, Son of Sardaar 2, and De De Pyaar De 2 lined up for release.
