Symphony Space to Present ‘Sacred & Profane’

Symphony Space is set to present a concert showcasing the music of Robert Sirota and Sheree Clement. “Sacred and Profane,” scheduled for Oct. 15, 2024, will feature the talents of soprano Ariadne Greif , baritone Paul Pinto , the Momenta Quartet, cellist Benjamin Larsen, pianist Hyungjin Choi, flutist Roberta Michel, violists Jonah Sirota and Nadia Sirota, and percussionist Katherine Fortunato, as they present worsk by the two composers.

Among the works on the program will be Sirota’s 2016 work “Broken Places” followed by Clement’s “Mermaid Songs” from 2024. That is followed by Sirota’s “A Sinner’s Diary.” These instrumental works give way to Clement’s “Table Manners,” a duet for soprano and baritone.



Mary Birnbaum directs the segment. The showcase kicks off at 7:30 p.m.
